Joe Stiteler, AMFT

You and everyone you’ve known has struggled at times.  Whether an unexpected life-change, a yearning to live more authentically, or the balancing and maintaining of relationships — any person could benefit from the reflection and introspection afforded in therapy.

Passionate about fostering strong, thriving partnerships, my therapeutic approach revolves around couples therapy—a realm where I excel in enhancing communication, pinpointing maladaptive coping skills, and revealing the most authentic versions of relationships. Therapy, to me, transcends varied meanings for different individuals. Whether you're embarking on this journey for the first time or are seasoned in the process, I am dedicated to jointly exploring the challenges that have led you to this juncture and dismantling patterns that may hinder your progress.

Embracing an integrative methodology, I strive to identify the facets within you that yearn for growth and change, while creating a safe space conducive to processing grief and trauma. Specializing in couples, I address issues ranging from intimacy struggles to other complex relationship dynamics. My affinity extends to individuals, particularly those navigating anxiety, creative pursuits, or embarking on their first therapeutic experience—all are welcomed for initial intakes and trial sessions.

After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Psychology from CalState LA, I earned a master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, LA. With 18 months of valuable experience at the San Fernando Valley Counseling Center, I've transitioned to private practice at Interior Design Firm in Burbank under the supervision of Jennifer Flores (LMFT 92351).

Beyond the therapeutic realm, I find joy in the outdoors, watching a basketball or football game, creating music, and indulging in mental reruns of Seinfeld episodes. If this resonates with you, don't hesitate to reach out for an appointment. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate with you on your journey towards stronger, more authentic connections.

“Be a better friend to yourself.”
